A hearing in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case was once again adjourned at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Ghaziabad on Wednesday.

The decision came as the Supreme Court has reserved an order over a transfer-petition filed by Aarushi’s parents, Dr Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, who sought a case transfer to Delhi.

Priti Singh, the CBI special judicial magistrate (SJM) in Ghaziabad on February 9, 2011, took cognisance of CBI’s closure-report and issued summons to the dentist couple in the double-murder case.

Later, the couple moved the Allahabad high court and later the SC in a bid to get the magistrate’s orders quashed.

The Supreme Court on January 6 dismissed the couple’s plea. The Talwars again moved a transfer-petition before the SC and requested transfer of case to Delhi on grounds of safety and security concerns.

The Ghaziabad magistrate court has fixed March 14 as the next date of hearing in the case.
