Aarushi murder: Forensic experts find no ‘human blood’ on khukri

Both these items were recovered from the house of a former suspect in the case, Krishna Thadarai.
However, the expert said he could not establish the blood group from the bloodstains found on the pillow cover.
Suresh Kumar, senior scientist from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), said he tested several cotton strings on which blood samples from the khukri were taken, but “human blood was not found”.
Kumar was one of the experts who had examined the scene of crime in June 2008.
“Upon examination, it was found that the front portion of the door of Aarushi’s room had bloodstains and there was
presence of bloodstains over the left side wall of her room. This led to the conclusion that the door of Aarushi’s room was open when the incident took place,” Singhal stated.
The team had also collected some blood samples from the stairs.
Krishna’s pillow cover is a crucial piece of evidence for the CBI as well as defence lawyers representing Dr Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar. They will now cross-examine Kumar on November 20.
