Talking to newspersons here on Wednesday, Dr Manish Varma said that a 38-year old patient had come from Hardoi with complaints of unbearable abdominal pain, flatulence and nausea feeling. He was suffering from these symptoms for the past eight years but the disease could not be diagnosed.

During investigations at Kanika Hospital it was found that he had a big tumour in the abdomen because of TB.

After a five-hour operation , the tumour and the affected intestines were removed and he was discharged from the hospital after eight days.

The biopsy report confirmed that the tumour was caused because of intestinal TB .

Dr Manish said that such tumours were the natural consequences of intestinal TB but they should be treated well in time to avoid complications .
