ACB unearths disproportionate assets worth over Rs 1.25 crore

Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 1.25 crore in Hyderabad belonging to a Deputy Executive Engineer of the Office of Commissionerate of tenders.

Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 1.25 crore in Hyderabad belonging to a Deputy Executive Engineer of the Office of Commissionerate of tenders.

On a tip off, the officials conducted searches at various places including the office of Engineer A Srinivasa Reddy at Hyderabad and Ramagiri village in Nalgonda district, ACB sources said.

During the searches it was found that Srinivasa Reddy was in possession of disproportionate assets which include one house and a flat at posh Banjara Hills area here and 4.6 acre of agricultural lands at Karmanghat, Maheshwaram, Venkatapur and Kanagarakal in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district, an official said.

The searches also yielded 1.36 kg of gold ornaments, 1.75 kgs of silver and cash of over Rs 16 lakh and Rs 58 lakh bank balance in five separate places, he said.
