Abraham hurt his left ankle and knee after the motorbike skidded while avoiding a pedestrian crossing the road in suburban Khar, police sources said on Sunday.
After the accident around midnight, Abraham went to the Leelavati Hospital in suburban Bandra for an X-ray and was advised hospitalisation. He was admitted to the hospital and his condition was now stable, hospital sources said.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case of negligent driving against the actor.
"The actor has suffered injuries in left ankle and knee but there is no fracture. The MRI result is also alright. Abraham's condition is stable and is being monitored continuously. He is likely to be discharged in the next 12 hours," doctors attending on him said.
This is the second time the actor has been admitted to Leelavati Hospital. On an earlier occasion in December last year, the actor suffered a bronchitis problem while shooting for a film in Afganisthan. He flew down to Mumbai and was admitted to hospital, sources said.
