The personal assistant of actress Priyanka Chopra, Chandra Misra, was detained under the Representation of the People Act.

The police said Misra accompanied Chopra to a polling booth in Versova.

Only valid people are allowed to enter the polling room. Misra reportedly went in with a water bottle for Chopra. The police warned him but Misra again went inside. He was detained by the police.

“It’s illegal to go near the ballot box. He forcefully went in although the police had warned him,” said Senior Inspector Suresh Nalavde.
