But, his work sold like hot cakes at the book fair. His book Babloo?s Adhoora Khwaab came a year back but still it?s quite in demand.

Babloo Srivastav is not a polished author or writer. But, his work sold like hot cakes at the book fair. His book Babloo’s Adhoora Khwaab came a year back but still it’s quite in demand.
Rakesh Kumar of Nai Sadi Prakashan said, “We bought 500 copies of Adhoora Kwaab. 50 copies of its English translation Unfulfilled Dreams. And now we are left with only about 5 copies of each title. This book has been selling well since the day one. A few people have taken away both the Hindi and the English version of the book.”
And mind you Nai Sadi Prakashan is not the only stall that is selling this title. Almost all the stalls selling Hindi or English bestsellers have this book and are quite happy with the way this book has sold itself.
“We had to call for more stock of this book. It is doing very well,” said another bookstall owner.
Call it Babloo’s background that resulted in the hype sale or the publicity that that it got from its royalty, the book has topped sale, said the stall owner.
Similarly, Chatan Bhagat’s first title Five Point Someone is seen all over the fair and is quite popular with the slightly younger crowd. His second title One Night at the Call Centre too is making its presence felt. One of the stalls selling bestsellers said, “We have sold almost 200 pieces of these titles. But I noticed that most of the people coming for these titles are younger school going or college going crowd.”
Shobha De’s Spouse that hit the book shops sometime back as sold out fairly well. However, the stall owners say that it is the Hindi version of the book that is selling well.
