Thirteen children had died in a bomb blast at Dhemaji during an Independence Day programme last year and there was no guarantee that the same will not be repeated this time, AGP general secretary Dilip Kumar Saikia said on Friday.

He accused the government of not taking any action against the ministers who were allegedly maintaining links with the militant outfits.

Saikia has also sent a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi seeking action against two senior Cabinet ministers in the Tarun Gogoi government, "who were maintaining links with the ultras but got protection from the chief minister."

Banned terror outfit ULFA has already called for a 'general strike' and boycott of Republic Day functions.
