Reacting to the Hindustan Times-MaRS Consumer Satisfaction Survey published on December 23, Air India Chairman & Managing Director Arvind Jadhav wrote to this newspaper giving this information.

Complimenting HT for the survey, he wrote: “Even though the sample respondents have ranked Air India much lower than other airlines, we will use these key performance indicators as benchmarks for bringing about further improvement in our services.”

The company has undertaken a number of initiatives over the last few months, Jadhav said, that would result in making Air India a better product. This, he added, would hopefully be reflected in future surveys.

“On flight departures, our performance can match the best,” he wrote.
