Air passenger held for bid to smuggle Rs 1 cr worth of cocaine
A Malaysia-bound passenger was arrested at the airport today for allegedly trying to smuggle out cocaine worth Rs one crore in international market.

A Malaysia-bound passenger was arrested at the airport today for allegedly trying to smuggle out cocaine worth Rs one crore in international market.
Officials searched Kaliamurthy Suresh (28) on suspicion and found he was hiding six packets containing cocaine hidden inside his shoes.
Officials recovered 987 gm of cocaine from him, Customs Commissioner R Periasami said in a release.
Suresh was arrested under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, the release said.
