Alert in Jharkhand after Jaipur blasts

Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda on Wednesday sounded a high alert in the state following the blasts in Jaipur that killed at least 63 people the day before.

"This is an act of cowardice. Terrorists will gain nothing from such acts. We condemn the serial blasts," Koda told reporters.

He said police had been directed to beef up security at important places, including religious spots like the Deoghar Shiva temple and the Parasnath temple.

Police in Ranchi searched vehicles and warned people to alert the nearest station in case they found any suspicious object.
