An alert was sounded throughout Tripura and along the 856-km-long Indo-Bangla border in the wake of serial blasts in Guwahati.Police said security was beefed up at vital installations like civil secretariat, Raj Bhavan and important government buildings and search operations have been launched across the state, including the capital.
Bomb squad personnel along with sniffer dogs launched search operations in hotels and other places in the towns and vigil was stepped up in the public places.
Border Security Force (BSF) sources said they also intensified patrolling and increased surveillance along the Indo-Bangla border in Tripura following the yesterday’s blasts in Guwahati to prevent any kind of infiltration.
