Amarnath Yatra: book chopper online from Mar 17

SASB has made arrangements with Pawan Hans Ltd and Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd for providing helicopter services on the Neelgrath (Baltal)-Panjtarni-Neelgrath (Baltal) Sector and Himalayan Heli Services Pvt Ltd for services on the Pahalgam-Panjtarni-Pahalgam Sector.
The online booking facility for Amarnath Yatra would be available to the intending pilgrims on the websites of the aforesaid companies.
The CEO informed that, based on competitive bidding, one way passenger fare for Neelgrath (Baltal)-Panjtarni and Pahalgam-Panjtarni Sector has been fixed at Rs 1,950 and Rs 4,190 respectively.
Choudhary said that the pilgrims who wish to avail chopper service for Amarnath Yatra are not required to seek advance registration through the designated bank branches, as their applications for purchasing tickets shall be treated as a permit for undertaking the pilgrimage.
However, pilgrims would not be allowed to board the helicopter for Amarnath Yatra unless they produce the required compulsory health certificate issued by authorised doctors/ institutes notified by respective state governments.
