"Government of India feels that the political parties in the state have been irresponsible. They feel that the parties have gone back on what they initially promised," he told reporters.
"The statement made on December nine was very clear. I do not see much of a difference between that and the statement made on December 23. I hope a solution would come in the new year by the first week of January."
Srinivas, Chief Minister K Rosaiah and several Congress leaders participated in a function to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the party.
Hailing the services rendered by Congress to the country, Rosaiah said his party alone can ensure welfare and security to the people.
Showering praise on Sonia Gandhi, he said the Congress president has steered the party to success despite facing a number of challenges.
