Apropos of Veenu Sandhu's report Tinker, tailor, soldier, servant (Focus, June 10), all those in the field are treated in the same manner by their bosses in the three services. Technical fields are also not spared even though soldiers in these handle state-of-the-art systems or equipment. Recently, the Defence Ministry has advised the services on this issue but will anyone listen?
