Ashish, Savinay, Sunny in semis

ASHISH PATHAK, Savinay Jain and Sunny today entered the semifinal round of the MP Open Snooker Tournament being organised by Club Snooker Joint in the City. In the first quarterfinal, Ashish Pathak of Jabalpur had to fight hard against Nitin of Bhopal. However, Pathak who thumped MP No. 3 ranker Sunny Arya in the pre-quarterfinal also won this match. The tough tie ended in the favour of Pathak with the frames 3-2.

In the first quarterfinal, Ashish Pathak of Jabalpur had to fight hard against Nitin of Bhopal. However, Pathak who thumped MP No. 3 ranker Sunny Arya in the pre-quarterfinal also won this match. The tough tie ended in the favour of Pathak with the frames 3-2.

Savinay Jain of Bhopal in the second quarterfinal match found no difficulty in defeating Ravi Gangwani. He won the match 3-1 with one break. The third quarterfinal match saw Sunny Tyagi of Bhopal winning comfortably against Shailendra Parihar of the same City. Tyagi won the match 3-0.

In all, 71 players from various parts of the State, including Gwalior, Hoshangabad, Indore and Jabalpur are participating in the tournament. The final match will be played on April 29.
