Babbar was addressing a public meeting late on Saturday evening in the second phase of his Mukti Sangram Yatra at Ghantaghar ground. He reached the venue three hours behind schedule.
Babbar criticised the government’s unemployment and Kanya Vidya Dhan schemes. He said it was equivalent to offering money to beggars. He alleged girls were being made to pay bribe of Rs 5,000 to get Kanya Vidya Dhan of Rs 20,000. He said the government was claiming to provide four lakh unemployed youths of the State with unemployment allowance.
If the government had provided only one lakh unemployed youths with jobs, it would have been better because they would have supported four lakh families, he added.
Babbar said bureaucrats and leaders were making money by exploiting people. He claimed nobody could prevent the JMA from forming its government in the State after the assembly election.
All 22 partners of the JMA would together form the government in the State after the assembly election, he said.
Babbar said the JMA would take important decisions in the interest of farmers within two hours of coming to power. It would waive all farmers’ loans, stop acquisition of farmland, give employment to ten lakh youths, ensure nine per cent reservation for Muslims and ten percent for poor upper class candidates. Babbar said though the JMA had decided to stay away from the civic election, it was extending support to its allies. He appealed to the people to elect Arun Kumar Dubey as the Mirzapur Nagar Palika chairman.
