Renowned ghazal singer Gulshan Bharti regaled the Pakistanis with his soulful rendering of Sufi songs and ghazals much to the delight of the Pakistanis.

Bharti started with a Ganesh stuti set in raag Malwa before moving on to the ghazals. ‘Tu jisko chahe zamane mein mautbar kar de’, ‘Meri aankh band thi jab talak’ and ‘tumne ulfat ke takazon ko jo samjha hota’ had the audience asking for more. Bharti rounded off the musical evening with ‘sufiyana kalam’ “Bulle Shah” and “Allah Hoo” (the latter, written by Khushbir Singh Shaad).

Sadhna Bedi, principal of CMS Chowk branch also surprised many when she joined Bharti to sing a couple of ghazals in her melodious voice. The Pakistani delegation, which clearly enjoyed the musical evening, also took to the stage to recite some Urdu couplets.
