Bhujbal asks officials to take steps to prevent floods

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Saturday asked the officials concerned to take precautions and make proper planning to prevent flood situation during rainy season in the district.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Saturday asked the officials concerned to take precautions and make proper planning to prevent flood situation during rainy season in the district.

Bhujbal, who is also Guardian Minister of the district, today conducted a meeting of top government officials, people's representatives and Irrigation Department officials to take review of planning for the rainy season.

He asked Irrigation Department to release water from dams, when it needed, to control flood situation.

He asked officials to coordinate among themselves to fight disaster situation in the coming monsoon if the situation demands so.
