BJ demands J&K CM?s dismissal

A DELEGATION of Bharatiya Janshakti office-bearers, led by party State president Raghunandan Sharma, called on Governor Balram Jakhar on Thursday and submitted him a memorandum demanding the dismissal of J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.

A DELEGATION of Bharatiya Janshakti office-bearers, led by party State president Raghunandan Sharma, called on Governor Balram Jakhar on Thursday and submitted him a memorandum demanding the dismissal of J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.

The memorandum, addressed to President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, said it was unfortunate that leaders of the country were trying to shield Mohd Afzal who was awarded capital punishment for his involvement in the conspiracy behind the attack on the Parliament building.

The J&K Chief Minister also demanded mercy to the terrorist, the memorandum said. The memorandum demanded implementation of the Supreme Court judgment on capital punishment to Mohd Afzal and sacking of Azad from the CM’s post.

The delegation comprised party State vice-president Shailendra Pradhan, general secretaries Bhagwandas Sabnani and Narendra Birthare and media affairs in charge Geet Dixit.
