BJP apprehends Cong tactics to mislead cadres

Apprehending that the Congress may circulate CDs and audio cassettes which "malign" BJP leaders as part of its election campaign, the party on Saturday cautioned its cadres to be wary of these tactics and urged the Election Commission to ensure that Congress does not indulge in such practices.

"We have information that Congress is planning to circulate CDs and audio cassettes which malign BJP leaders and specially using high technology, such kind of manipulations are possible. We have also asked the Election Commission to ensure that Congress does not indulge in such practices," party spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters in New Delhi.

He said party cadres and supporters have been warned to be cautious and not to get influenced by such propaganda by the Congress which is resorting to such means as it is facing certain defeat in the Assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Chattisgarh.

"The Congress which is facing certain defeat in these four seats will not be able to save itself by such tactics," he said.
