“The BJP is raking up religious issues in a bid to come to power and such matters won’t address the nation’s problems, especially unemployement,” Nath told an election meeting in Shajapur.

He said that the BJP which has raised the Ram temple issue for electoral gains do not have takers now in the country as the people understand its gameplan.

To press his point, he added that the saffron party has faced humilating defeats at the religious places, including Ayodhaya and Haridwar.

Taking a dig at the BJP, Union Minister said that developmental activities in Madhya Pradesh have come to a standstill, despite the Centre’s huge funding to different welfare schemes in the state.

“Lawlessness was prevailing in Madhya Pradesh and the police was arresting farmers, instead of thieves and robbers,” he added.
