Tej, a nephew of RJD leader and a former MLA Bhim Kumar Yadav was kidnapped last month in Bihar's Aurangabad district.

The body of Tej Pratap, who was kidnapped from outside his home at Barun in the district, on December 30 was recovered by the police from a well at Barem village in the district, Superintendent of Police Sushil Khopde said.

Six persons were arrested in connection with the kidnapping and subsequent murder of the boy.

The family had first received a ransom demand for Rs 60 lakh, which the abductors later lowered to Rs 40 lakh.

The boy was killed as the family failed to pay the ransom.
