Date of Birth: 27 September 1981, Dunedin, Otago
 Test Debut: ------
ODI Debut: Against Australia at Sydney in 2001/02
 Bats: Right Hand Bat
 Other: Wicket-Keeper

Brendon McCullum was a surprise selection in the New Zealand VB series squad. He was chosen in the place of an injured Nathan Astle after just 10 Four-Day and 9 One-Day games for Otago.

In those matches, he proved that he was an attacking batsman of the future by scoring 142 off just 144 balls in a Four-Day game.

A very good fieldsman to go with his attacking batting, look out for McCullum to be opening the batting for New Zealand on a permanent basis in the future.
