During the patrolling of the area, the BSF troops noticed some suspicious movement along international border near Narianpur Border Out post (BoP) in Samba district around 0115 hours today, a senior BSF official told PTI.

Troops lit up the area with searchlights and later fired on the infiltrating militants, forcing them back to Pakistan side even as they fired some rounds on patrol party, he said.

"This was the first infiltration bid of this year," the official said.

There was no injury to any troops. However, due to thick fog, it was not known about killing or injury to any militants in BSF firing, he said, adding no recovery was made during search this morning.
