THE FOUR-DAY strike by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Employees’ Union was called off on Wednesday evening following an agreement with chief general manager, BSNL Lucknow.

According to district secretary RM Yadav all major demands such as regularisation of part-time labourers, payment of dues, promotion, WLL facility to outdoor employees and providing of testing handsets, multimedia and fault locator had been conceded by CMD in writing.

Later, the employees met and congratulated the CMD for accepting their demands.

Free health check up camp: A free health check up camp was organised at Sangam Holistic Health Centre and Research Foundation.

Check up of diabetes, high BP, heart ailments, asthma and stomach disorders the investigations such as ECG and blood test were conducted free of cost in this camp. The camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr MK Madnani, Dr Sumit Sachdeva, Naturopathy and Yoga expert Dr Nitin Sharma and dietician Miss Purnima Mishra.
