The services, which would facilitate features such as faster Internet on mobile phones and video calling, were launched at a function attended, among others by senior BSNL officer Ashok Kumar Mohabe and Yavatmal MP Bhavana Gawali.
"We will provide the services to the customers in Pusad and Wani tehsils of Yavatmal district shortly," Mohabe said.
Gawali, while lauding the efforts of the telecom department, stressed the need for proper and prompt services to the customers.
"Yavatmal is a backward district and the communication facility can help in bringing sustained development of the region," she said.
