Annoyed over misrule of the Mulayam Singh Government, he said the people of the State were looking towards the BSP and it’s the responsibility of the party workers to come up to the expectation of the people.

Siddiqui was delivering his views at a divisional party workers conference at Chitragupta temple in Gorakhpur on Sunday.

Lambasting the State Government, Siddiqui said the Mulayam Singh govt was fooling the minorities and backward class people and would face the wrath of these people in the assembly election. He further said that the State Government had issued a GO on October 25, 2005 to include 16 most backward castes in Scheduled Caste but the State Government had no power to issue such orders. Moreover, on July 13, 2006, the State Government has issued another GO and restored 16 castes in the backward class.

“It’s ridiculous that the Chief Minister, who depends on 738 security personnel for his security , is claiming to be the contractor of the security of the minority class people.” He said that the SP was fooling the minority people for its vested interest and he exhorted Muslims to support the BSP to share their part in the government.

He said in 1995 governmetn, Mayawati had included five Muslim ministers, in 1997 government their strength was seven and in 2000 government of Mawati, the strength of Muslims were 11. Contrary to it SP included Azam Khan as a single minister in 1989 and 1993 governments. He said insignificant department were also allotted to Muslim ministers by Mulayam Singh Yadav and quoted that Azam Khan was minister of drainages and Ahmad Hasan was minister of vasectomy.

Party MP Lalmani Prasad coordinator of the Bhai Chara Banao Samiti Athar Khan, BSP MLA GM Singh, Sadal Prasad and Fateh Bahadur Singh who recently joined the BSP also expressed their views in the conference.
