Singh who presently resides in Mumbai, has formed Buddha Group Musical Company having sole distribution rights for cassettes. Though his film Gaon Ki Ore is yet to be released, he is immensely busy. Talking to Hindustan Times, Bhupendra Singh, PA to GM Singh, claimed that Bhojpuri film actors Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari were asking for handsome amounts for doing films.
Hence the producers had started approaching GM Singh who had shown his talent in Gaon Ki Ore. The film revolves around the present political scenario and also portrays political interference in the working of the administration.
Responding to a question regarding the delay in releasing of the film, Bhupendra said the film was completed but the Film Censor Board had not yet given its permission to release the film.
The film is directed by Yousuf Kasmi and was expected to be released last year but is still awaiting clearance from the Censor Board.
It was learnt that GM Singh normally charges Rs 5 lakh – Rs 7 lakh per film while other Bhojpuri actors charge four times more.
