Cash, jewels worth lakhs stolen from five places

THIEVES STRUCK at five places last night and stole cash and jewellery worth thousands of rupees. At Mall Road, Mhow, thieves struck at the house of Captain M K Singh and stole two gold chains, one ring, tops and other jewellery.

THIEVES STRUCK at five places last night and stole cash and jewellery worth thousands of rupees. At Mall Road, Mhow, thieves struck at the house of Captain M K Singh and stole two gold chains, one ring, tops and other jewellery.

A case has been registered at the Mhow police station. The Captain in his report has expressed suspicion that his servant Kalu and maidservant Chandabai might be behind the theft.

In Lokmanya Nagar, thieves entered the house owned by Madanlal son of Govindlal Sharma and took away cash and jewellery. Chhatripura police have registered the case.

Theft incidents were also reported from the house at Scheme No 78 owned by Mrigant son of Sheelkumar Sawant. A truck (MP-09-KD-989) parked at Scheme No 78 was stolen and the tyres of a Maruti van parked at Revenue Nagar were also stolen.

Criminal nabbed

NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL Ramsingh Daddu, who has around 35 cases pending against him, was nabbed by Sanyogitaganj police yesterday. He had been externed from the district, but was found roaming around and extorting money from traders.
