The CBI on Friday conducted searches at 41 places in various parts of the national capital region in connection with alleged bungling and land-grabbing by some officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

The searches were conducted after the agency registered five cases against some MCD officials in a designated court, official sources said.
The cases were registered on directions of the Delhi High Court, which had taken a serious view of the allegations of bungling in the municipal body and directed the CBI to conduct an inquiry.
