Class-IV employees to get interest-free advance on Diwali

The Haryana government has decided to provide all Class-IV employees of the state an interest-free advance of Rs 4,000 on the occasion of Diwali.

The Haryana government has decided to provide all Class-IV employees of the state an interest-free advance of Rs 4,000 on the occasion of Diwali.

Finance minister HS Chattha said on Friday that the advance would be admissible to permanent and temporary Class-IV employees and ad hoc employees, who had been continuing in service for the past one year and were likely to continue for another four months.

About 47,000 employees could avail the benefit of interest-free loan on the occasion of Diwali.
He said that the advance would be recovered in four equal monthly installments and the entire advance would be recovered from the pay of the employees before the close of the current financial year.

He clarified that the advance would not be admissible to work charged and contingent paid staff and daily wagers. In case, both husband and he wife were employed, the advance would be allowed to only one of them.
