Class IV staff calls off strike

CLASS IV employees of Hamidia Hospital today called off their strike following talks with Employees Welfare Committee president Arvind Shrivastava. Dean of Gandhi Medical College and superintendent of the hospital and representatives of employees? unions concerned were also present at the meeting.

CLASS IV employees of Hamidia Hospital today called off their strike following talks with Employees Welfare Committee president Arvind Shrivastava. Dean of Gandhi Medical College and superintendent of the hospital and representatives of
employees’ unions concerned were also present at the meeting.

It was agreed that meetings would now be held regularly to consider the grievances and demands of Class IV employees of different Government hospitals in Bhopal.

Gandhi Medical College Dean Nirbhay Kumar Shrivastava informed on the occasion that junior doctors accused of bashing up some Class IV employees of the hospital were already suspended.

He assured that no vindictive action would be taken against Class IV employees and their salaries for the period of strike would not be deducted. He said that Kishan Chauhan, seriously injured in the brawl between junior doctors and the Class IV employees of the hospital, was being treated free of cost and would continue to be treated further.
