CLP meeting in Arunachal deferred till 9 pm
The crucial meeting of the CLP, which was scheduled to be held at 11 am today has been deferred and will now start at 9 pm.
The crucial meeting of the Congress Legislature Party, which was scheduled to be held at 11 am on Wednesday, has been deferred and will now start at 9 pm as the arrival of the central party observers, Oscar Fernandes and Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, was delayed due to inclement weather.

"The meeting has now been rescheduled to start at 9 pm after the central observers arrive around late afternoon and a decision is expected late Wednesday night," the APCC president and former Chief Minister Mukut Mithi said.
Almost all the newly elected Congress members had arrived for the meeting, but inclement weather has delayed the arrival of Fernandes and Gogoi and they are expected to reach here probably by late afternoon, Mithi said.
Mithi said the new leader would be elected unanimously and there was no chance of voting.
He also refused to comment on the reported views of a section of Independent MLAs and some Congress legislators that former Chief Minister Gegong Apang, a top contender for the CM's post, would be the possible leader.
"They (Independents) have no right to interfere in the CLP meeting and issue a statement preferring one (leader) over the other," he said.
Asked when the new government could be sworn in, Mithi said in all the likelihood it would not take much time for the Congress legislators to announce their leader through consensus and by Thursday the new government may be formed.
Eleven Independent MLAs and two Arunachal Congress legislators have written letters to Apang and CWC member Ramesh Chennithala that they preferred Apang to be the leader of the CLP.
