The Governor’s act was a clear violation of the Constitution said the Chief Minister while talking to mediapersons at Mainpuri today. The Governor’s action had drawn flak from all over the State, the CM said and added that the induction of ministers had nothing to do with the impending election.

“Any eligible citizen can be inducted as a minister,” he said adding that ministers thus inducted must become members of either of the two Houses of the State legislature within six months.

The CM said four ministers in the Union Cabinet were not members of either of the two houses of Parliament. Meanwhile, all eyes are set on what the Governor does when he returns here from New Delhi on Sunday.

The Chief Minister also said there was no violation of code of conduct in declaring Jamat-Ul-Vida (Alvida) as a public holiday.
