He said the BJP would win the civic body polls in all seven nagar nigams.

"The civic polls are fought on local issues and problems. The Congress government has failed to provide even basic amenities to people. In Hisar, people are daily purchasing water. The law and order situation has worsened to the extent that even judges are not safe. It appears that the Lok Sabha elections will be held in October or November. The recent graft disclosures of the Congress ministers indicate the direct involvement of Prime Minister in the recent scams and our party has demanded his resignation," he said.

The BJP leader criticised HPCC chief Phool Chand Mullana for belittling and calling nagar nigam elections as those of "gali mohallas" and said: "These elections are the stepping stones of democracy and base of people's rule. Mullana has shown his narrow mindedness by deprecating the civic polls."
