The Congress has demanded a CBI enquiry into the Noida killings while accusing the state government of dragging its feet on it.
According to spokesman Satyavrat Chaturvedi, the Noida murders marked an "unprecedented low" in the law and order situation of the state.
Even while demanding an impartial probe, the spokesman noted that the Mulayam Singh Yadav government had ruled out a CBI probe into the Kavita Rani murder case in which politicians were allegedly involved.
He advised the Yadav regime to follow the example of the Maharashtra government by instituting inquiries into the Malegaon and Khairlangji incidents.
