Weavers staged a dharna at the same place over their neglect by the government.. A procession of weavers reached the district magistrate’s office where the SP had set the stage. Though weavers objected, the SP did not remove the stage. A war of words followed but police stepped in. Senior SP leader Gopal Yadav said the demands of weavers was genuine and peace prevailed.
