Court extends police custody of Daya Nayak

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had arrested Nayak and Padte on February 20 in a disproportionate assets case.

A special sessions court on Wednesday extended the police custody of suspended Sub Inspector of police Daya Nayak and his alleged associate Rajendra Padte till March 6.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had arrested Nayak and Padte on February 20 in a disproportionate assets case.

The State CID has moved an application before the court seeking permission to interrogate Nayak in Khwaja Younis disappearance case.

This application along with bail applications of Nayak and Padte would now be heard on March 6.
