The CPI(M) on Friday warned the UPA government that it would be put "in the dock" in Parliament if it insisted on voting for a referral on the Iran issue to the UN Security Council.

"The government will be put in the dock in Parliament if it insists on voting for a referral to the Security Council," CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat said at the end of the two-day politburo meeting in Kolkata.
