A CRPF jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside a camp here on Tuesday.

A CRPF jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside a camp here on Tuesday. Constable Sanjay Kumar Yadav, posted with 178th battalion, shot himself dead with his INSAS rifle at a camp in Gulshan Nagar locality of Nowgam, said a police official.

The incident occurred at around 1.30pm when the jawan was on a sentry duty. The motive behind his taking such an extreme step was
not known, official added.
