Police suspect Rafiq, a college student, was the one of the three bombers who had triggered the deadly blasts.

However, Joint Commissioner of Police Karnal Singh, who is heading the probe into the blasts, said that "I neither confirm nor deny the reports."

Police have been trying to match the sketch they had released of the suspected bombers with Rafiq who was arrested on November 21.

Police also made attempts to carry out a test identification parade for him but were unsuccessful as the accused refused to take the test.
