"We take on board the formal position of certain parties but we have held discussions with them. And we will monetise small portions of government's equity and proceeds will be put in National Investment Fund," he said, while interacting with press corps at the Forum of Financial Writers.
Chidambaram also said the UPA government has not withdrawn any reform bills or measures. "Progress is indeed slow but there is progress."
The two banking bills and a bill on pension have been viewed favourably by the Parliamentary committees, the Finance Minister said, adding that the bills would be tabled in Parliament.
"We will go forward in Parliament with or without modifications. But it will go forward," he said.
