As many as 20 out of the total 33 district cricket associations voted against Dixit at the annual general body held at Ramada Hotel in his absence and later nominated vice president Rajendra Singh Rathore to the post.

The motion was passed by Lalit Modi-backed rival faction. Ever since Modi lost to Dixit in the RCA elections earlier this year, there has been constant tug-of-war between the two groups.

Rathore was authorised to attend the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) meeting on September 24. They also decided to hold an election for the president on October 14.

On the other hand, executive committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of president Sanjay Dixit at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium.

It was also decided to take away power from Giriraj Sanadhya, who was currently working as secretary. Apart from him, it was also decided to take action against vice president Rajendra Singh Rathore and remove former secretary of RCA.

Dixit said that the accounts were confirmed at the meeting. “I will be the representative at the BCCI meeting on September 24,” Dixit said. He added he would go to meetings till 2013.
