DPI warning to two school principals

A TEAM of the Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI) detected irregularities at two boys’ schools, in Mandideep and Obaidullahganj during an inspection on Thursday. Joint director O P Sharma was leading the team.

The team found absence of students and other problems in Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Mandideep. The DPI has asked the school’s principal in-charge Pancholi to improve the condition within 15 days. In case remedial action was not taken, the increments would be stopped.

The team found more problems in the Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Obaidullahganj. The team found many teachers also playing truant and asked the principal to improve the conditions in 15 days. In case of the failure, DPI would issue show cause notice to the principal.

However, the team was happy with three girls’ schools for good discipline. These schools included Girls’ School (Berkhada), Girls’ School (Mandideep) and Girls School (Obaidullahganj). However, the team found that none of the schools had prepared performance record of the students.
