The notice was issued on Wednesday by the City Magistrate on the directions of District Magistrate Deepak Aggarwal after it was reported that the flag was hoisted in a reverse way at the school premises during the Republic Day celebrations.

"It is a serious offence as it adds to humiliation of the national flag," Aggarwal said.

Meanwhile, the school authorities admitted to the lapse and said, it was done mistakenly and nobody noticed it immediately.
