"The recent rains in parts of the country has improved situation and in case some parts face drought, it won't throw a big challenge for the Centre to tackle it, especially in the tribal areas," Bhuria told reporters.

"All help will be provided to the states to deal with drought situation, especially in tribal areas in case of scanty rainfall," he said.

The Minister said the Centre has already provided adequate funds for employment in rural areas.

"However, the states should ensure that the Central funds meant for rural employment and welfare don't get marred in corruption," he said.

Bhuria said that the UPA government is abreast with the developments in the tribal dominated areas in the wake of below average rainfall.

He said no complaint of shortage of food grain shortage has trickled in from the tribal areas in the country yet, adding that the Centre will ensure that no tribal runs short of food-grains.
