EC notice to BJP for violation of model code of conduct

The EC has issued a show cause notice to BJP for distributing pamphlets in Tourism Ministry bags in Gole market constituency.

Hours before the assembly polls in Delhi, the Election Commission on Sunday night issued a show cause notice to BJP, asking it to explain within three days as to why action should not be taken against it for distributing pamphlets in Tourism Ministry bags on Saturday night in Gole Market constituency where its candidate Poonam Azad is pitted against Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
