EC orders repoll in 51 booths in Nagaland

EC has ordered repoll in 51 polling stations on Friday in Nagaland which went to polls along with Himachal Pradesh, Tripura and Meghalaya on Wednesday.

The Election Commission has ordered repoll in 51 polling stations on Friday in Nagaland which went to polls along with Himachal Pradesh, Tripura and Meghalaya on Wednesday.

The repoll has been ordered on the basis of reports received from Central poll observers, Chief Electoral Officers and Returning Officers, EC spokesman said today.

The Commission has also ordered repoll in three polling stations in Meghalaya, one each in Tripura and Himachal Pradesh.

Repolling would be held in two polling stations in Ratabari assembly constituency in Assam where a by-election was held.

The Commission had said on Wednesday that the contest in Nagaland turned out to be violent in many parts and the complaints were being looked into.
