Election for the vacant Rajya Sabha seat of Jammu and Kashmir would be held on August 10.

Election for the vacant Rajya Sabha seat of Jammu and Kashmir would be held on August 10.
The election was necessitated following resignation by National Conference President Farooq Abdullah after winning in the Lok Sabha polls.
As per the notification, nominations can be filed till July 30, which would be scrutinise on July 31 and nominations can be withdrawn till August 3, Secretary of the state Assembly Mohammad Ramzan said.
